We worked alongside Landscape Solutions, Turf Design Studio and Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council to deliver the Gosford Leagues Club for the Hunter & Central Coast Development Corporation.
The opening of the Leagues Club Park in Gosford signifies a major step forward in the plan to revitalise Gosford City.
Taking into account feedback from the Gosford community, Central Coast Council and the Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council, it has been purposely built to cater to all ages and abilities
The aim was to design, engineer and fabricate a custom ‘4 POD’ playground with rip bridges, flatbed slide and a stainless-steel tubular slide.
With the structures being between 4 and 8 metres high, the design and structure had to be perfected. Local Aboriginal culture is at the heart of this design and as such these elements represent the special history of the area.
We had to ensure that the playground adhered to both engineering and playground code principals, whilst also working in a play sense for the community.
